Boca Helping Hands

Boca Helping Hands (BBH) focuses on the “whole person” approach, serving the economically challenged, culturally diverse population of Palm Beach County in Florida with a variety of programs including a food center, job mentoring, job training, providing food and snacks to elementary school children, a resource center and a children’s assistance program. Since 2015 they have also opened a medical clinic and a dental clinic to assist clients with health needs.

The Opportunity Alliance

Awarded $20,000 in 2016

The Opportunity Alliance is comprised of over 40 integrated community-based and clinical programs serving more than 20,000 across the age span. They work to help people build better lives by providing advocacy, leadership and support to identify the goals and needs of individuals, families and communities and help address them. The Opportunity Alliance seeks to leverage resources and achieve meaningful, sustainable improvements in the lives of those living in poverty, grappling with mental illness and/or substance use issues as well as those who seek to build stronger communities.
